Does anyone know where I can get Windows Vista CD (not DVDs). I also have a tight budget.

Installation CDs
The days of a Microsoft OS install fitting on a CD are over.
Even some Linux flavors are so big they are put on DVDs.

The DVD's, when they were available, cost around $10.00 US. And it was a free download. Vista is not available on CD-ROM (unless someone broke up the ISO) and besides, the program is closed to new subscribers.

You need to start saving your money right now for the purchase of a DVD drive. You can get a brand new NEC 3550A dual layer writer for about $45 to $50 on the internet.
eWiz.Com, http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?p=DVD-16P_BK&c=pw has a Lite-On for $26.84.
TechNet Plus subscribers have the option of receiving programs on DVDs or CDs - July's shipment included Vista Beta 2 - Is there a subscriber receiving CDs who can enlighten the group?

Thanks for the correction.
However, what is the probability that they will be made available to the OP?

My guess is about 0%. The OP should start saving $10 a month now and buy a DVD drive when Vista is released early next year.
